Barack Obama Unfit for Presidency.

Barack Obama has successfully masked his naivety and weakness through resiliency in rhetoric and speech, and now that he has taken his political game to an entirely new level, the implications behind his declaring himself a presidential candidate must signal to both the American public as a whole and more specifically the black community to call him out on his incapability of representing our nation at this critical point in United States history.

In speech, Obama spends countless lines of sweet-sounding rhetoric that only criticizes the current administration and societal structures, without offering solutions with substance. The war is bad, blah blah, we need to bring our troops home, blah blah... but when it comes to specific strategies on how to bring home our troops without jeopardizing their safety and the safety of American interests in the region and without completely compromising all of the hard work and initiatives invested to this day, Barack merely suggests '(working) with our military commanders to map out the best plan...' Question: what military background and experience does Obama have to factor into such discussion? (Aside from his work on the Veteran's Committee.) He goes on to tell the importance of diplomatic political discussions as the key avenue for peaceful relations between the conflicting factions in Iraq. His merely suggesting that simply talking through their problems is going to be the winning solution alone identifies Barack Obama's weakness and lack of political backbone and vision.

Aside for his lack of substance with regards to viable solutions to rectifying Iraqi inter-factional relations, Obama has not offered any insight whatsoever on how he as president would intend to approach Iraq as a potential ally and avenue for future business and trade. Then again, doing so may be too much of a Republican move, but it seems to me as though identifying all of the problems and conflicts and controversies does nothing in the way of encouraging Iraqis to take their country in the direction it needs. Obama offers no encouragement for promoting Iraqi nationalism, and his neglect in this arena only stifles whatever patriotism might be forming. This lack of faith certainly shoots down potential avenues for both American and Iraqi commercial growth and economic development, and this degree of empty pessimism is certainly not United States Presidential material.

...but enough about Barack Obama as an incapable president; time to analyze Barack Obama as an incapable black American president. By announcing his presidential candidacy, Barack Obama has taken America into a bold new direction. His every expression, word, and wave of the hand will now have implications for the black community as a whole, and because of our vested interests resting on his shoulders, we must be his worst critic. We must test him on every level possible and imaginable: his strength, resolve, and competencies must meet our highest standards, and we must not settle. Barack Obama must earn our vote, and must show that he is deserving of our vote--not because he is black, but because he is the most qualified, most fit candidate. As of yet he has not proven to us that he is this person. Hopefully though, the population of black Americans who take the time to vote will be the same population who truly analyze their options before making their decision.

People are looking for a fresh face. And I guess black has some fresh appeal. You gotta remember. This is in many ways a popularity contest.

Obama can do one thing that Clinto cannot and that is tone down the civil warfare that is happening in this country. He's every bit the socialist that she is but he isn't such a ghastly individual that people would hate hate hate the way conservatives hate Clinto and liberals (plus almost everyone else) hates Bush.

I guess my point is... Do you think there are any Democrats that deserve support? John Edwards?? LOL

You begin your piece offering much criticism to Bro. Obama, but the line that made me laugh was, "Barack merely suggests '(working) with our military commanders to map out the best plan...' Question: what military background and experience does Obama have to factor into such discussion?" Such foolishness. Did your current president have any military experience to make the decision to go into Iraq. Why hold this man to a higher standard than your man in office? You want Obama to have the answers that your own administration is clueless on. Please....

Bottom line is Obama is just as capable and qualified as the current president when he entered into office. Because he is black does that mean he deserves the black folk automatically? No. But for now, I will take Bro. Obama over any republican challenger. Dig that.

Barack Obama like the rest of the liberal candidates lacks the courage to protect our country from our eternal enemies. To choose any of these liberals is to put our nation in danger because neither one of them has enough testosterone to take the battle to the enemy as Bush has done. It is true that he might has failed in many issues but I guarantee you that he is doing his best to protect our country. I do not think that Obama will be able to protect us as Bush has done.

Wait, can black people be republicans?

What American is so insulated or isolated that they do not see that we are in a climate of perpetual Change already? On every level of our culture, for better or worse, it is about change.
What can Americans possibly want with this desire for "change"? Why is this one of the "magic words", like Hope, that gets people all excited, when any fool can see that the next Prez will be up to his/her ---in the messes made by the current one?

I find that "can blacks be Republicans? to be very pathetic. You as someone born after 1965 I will assume are one of the most uneducated people im America. If you knew anything you would know that most blacks were Republicasm until the late 1960's.

You did not choose to be a democrat any more than you chose the hospital you were born in. If it were not for Republicans we would still resemble Brazil in terms of progress.

I know you probably think you're educated. If you do, you give yourself far too much credit.

all I can say is, "Was George W. Bush' a capable president?"
Let me push this further, "Was Ronald Reagan, ex actor an experienced president?"
Barack Obama, is enlighting, fresh and a positive influence in our black community. Let's not forget the '60's please...

You speak about progress. However, you forget that it was not until the 60's ...Martin Luther King, and President Johnson when real progess ocurred in the black community. I do not fully understand why any minority would trust a political party, especially the Republican Party. When the Civil Rights Act of 1964 were passed by Congress, most if not all the southern racist states turn their backs to the democratic party and imbraced the republican party. Dauuu, does it not raise a red flag in your supposely educated brains why this ocurred. I am not saying the Democratic party is perfect, but it has taken bold actions to bring progressive changes to help the minority population of this country. If the minority population has not taken adventage of these changes who is at fault. Please!!!!!

Mr. McCain, does not have the right to state that Mr. Obama is not qualify to lead this country when you consider who he picked as his vice president running mate. I am embolden to say that Mr. Obama is far more intellegent than both of the republicans running for the presidential and vic president position. Everybody is doing back ground search about Mr. Obama, but no one is stating that Mr. McCain almost fluncked out of the Naval Academy. If a man of color is well educated he is called an elitis, or uppity you know, but if a white man is well educated he is call a well qualify person for the job. Wake up and smell the coffee. Double standards still exist in this country. White woman claim that they face a glass ceiling in corporate american. Woman and men of color face a cement ceiling. Open your eyes and see the reality. The only reason we are in Iraq is to eventually get their oil. This is what you call economic emperialism. Every major country in the world at one time or another has or continues to be emperalistic. The big fish eating the little fish. I find Mr. Obama to be extremely intellegent. We should be proud to have some one like him seeking the Presidence. There have been other men of color seeking the presidence that I would not support, because their agenda was limited. I truely think Mr. Obama care for the poor and middle class. Sign me a Vietnam Veteran. PS. If this war we are in was not being fought by a volunteer army, do you think many of you and your friends would be supporting this war. The Universities would be rioting like they were during the Vietnam War. Do you think many of you would like being drafted to fight a war, that could have been avoided and had nothing to do with our national security.
